Heart Eyes 2025
I enjoyed this! Went to a secret screening in Cineworld hoping to see The Monkey but it turned out to be this. Pleasantly surprised! Really funny and quite clever with the mash up of romcom and slasher. I caught some references but will be rewatching to try and catch them all. I hadn’t even heard of this but it deserves some love. Nice to see a satire which comes from a place of love for the genres which it plays on, instead of sneering at them. Felt like an early 2000s movie in the best way. It had won over the whole cinema by the end.
