  if the first 3 entries in this series were like sugar cookies made from the same basic recipe, this one left out the sugar and undercooked them. characters with no character, subverting its own death goldberg machines for anticlimactic fakeouts, absolutely humorless and with no sense of whimsy, and disjointed staging in the climax left me feeling like the girl hunt hooks up with halfway through. not one i'll come back to for kicks.

  everything i expected from a looney tunes flick and more. delightfully stupid and stupidly delightful. some of the jokes don't land, a few elements feel dated in 2025, but i had a smile on my face all the way through. 💖

  i don't normally bother to comment on popular opinion, but i'm surprised and a little sad to see this has been rated as low as it has. a devastating lesbian coming of age story set against a desolate 80s rural canadian tundra, filtered through the lens of lycanthropy. on the latter element, it doesn't unambiguously commit to the thrills, pageantry and catharsis normally associated with the genre, and for that it's apparently left werewolf and horror fans disappointed, wanting "more,"…
