  Wasn’t expecting a Stephen King adaptation to be a self-aware horror comedy/parody, but I’m not mad about it. 

  I kept having to readjust my expectation and remind myself that my disbelief is supposed to be wayyyyy suspended. But I still had fun!! I think that was the main goal and it was achieved pretty easily.

  It’s definitely a night out type of movie. Perfect if you and some friends wanna have a few laughs and see some fun kills. I…

  Hot take: not enough rats. 

  No but really FIRST THINGS FIRST: I feel like if you’re a lil bit freaky you might be disappointed with this film. I thought it was wildly underwhelming in its eroticism and seduction. I wouldn’t even consider it a “horny” film, which is kind of a major sin for a vampire movie. 

  ANYWAY, You get the usual Eggers shooting style, but with less frequency than his other films. Honestly I can appreciate this bc sometimes…
