  I’ve never truly understood the appeal of body horror. I’ll begin with that. I rated this film a 4⭐️’s for its concept and creative storytelling. Its use of liminal space, fitted into an 80’s retro chic-style, yet, the use of modern make up (dior lip oil, charlotte tilbury lipstick; products that are marketed towards women to retain youth & beauty) puts me in the belief that this concept exists in a time beyond our own.
