  Sometimes a boy just wants to run away from home and prepare for an apocalypse with his lover, you know?

  This is a harmonious blend of hard and soft, pure and dirty, and rough and tender piece of cinematic storytelling. A rare gem that doesn’t question the way in which queer futurity and childhood innocence goes hand in hand in real lives. The characters’ sexuality, in and of itself, is challenged but never questioned. This is a perfect portraiture of young queer kids as queerness is fully declared in its glory and gore not just implied. Gorgeous performance, soul-catching dialogue, and picturesque cinematography.
