  Xavier Gens' filmography is littered with very mediocre films. Sadly, this is also true of Cold Skin, which I sincerely hoped would stand out. Although the bleak setting of the deserted island somewhere in the ocean creates an eerie atmosphere, neither the pseusophilosophical narrator nor the characters are convincing.
