Kicking off with an unnerving bang, Longlegs never once lets up the tension, and the journey is all the richer for it. Just don’t look to closely at the moving parts keeping the show’s heart beating.

A strong premise and a great performance from Ralph Fiennes can't save this messy dish from itself... Stellar ideas are in abundance, and a little more care and reduction would have led the flavours to a mouthwatering finale, only for the kitchen to lose its way in terms of plot, meaning and purpose.
Unfortunately, this all ends up meaning the whole meal feels palatable... but very undercooked.
