An astonishing film that will never watch again

Sunshine gets better the more times you watch it.
Once you accept it’s two movies joined together, and get over the hurdle that the themes of each would have been better explored as separate parts, and take it for the film that it is, by a third viewing you can appreciate the performances, most of the writing, and even what Danny Boyle was going for in the third art, to some extent.
Typically Garland, you’ll leave feeling oddly buoyed by its bleakness by the end.
