In a word: Ow.
The gut punch was too real. Wasn’t prepared for where it went but I should’ve been.The film felt very palpable because of the tragedies of america’s truths and the patchwork of found footage (and documents / abstracted sequences) surprisingly added to that. Like a night terror that you can’t shake, reminded me of how one’s thoughts become uncontained when inner grief—deep-seated, buried grief—looms larger than anything.
