Hard to have any empathy for Donald Trump because he's so revolting but perhaps early on he could have taken a different path and used his charms for good instead of self-worshiping evil. Also, seems like they decided "okay we'll end it here" and it stops with a quick wrap-up.
Jeremy Strong is fantastic to watch.
He definitely was, but also troubled. An interesting journey / relationship movie that's a quick watch. Makes you wonder what it must feel like have charisma, but are self-destructive and thus alone in the world.
After I saw the movie I was told of the message regarding transgenderism and feeling trapped that it attempted to portray. I understand that many of the reviewers felt a connection to the movie, and I think that's wonderful because that's what a movie should do.
However, the odd pacing, the "breaking the 4th wall", the weird jumps in time (starts in 1996, jumps two years (1998?), then ten years (2008?) -- other than aging the characters the calendar years…
