Maybe I’m biased since I hate gratuitous violence but this was just awful.
There is no consistent tone and I literally don’t care about any of the characters, so the overly gory deaths are both meaningless and unnecessary?
Also, the real bear died almost instantly from a cocaine overdose, so to claim this is “based on a true story” is a stretch here. It would have been better if they referred to it by its actual nickname Pablo Eskobear.

I would rate it higher, since it’s a well made documentary in terms of how it’s shot, produced, etc. but it’s message is just all over the place.
On one hand, you film a 3 hour documentary about a horrible series of crimes committed by an incredibly narcissistic, horrible person. But then the people you interview constantly suggest that maybe they were giving him the attention he wanted all along? And then to suggest that we’re at fault for watching the documentary you made? It’s trying too hard to be thought provoking and it’s a big turn off.
