The energy level of it was at a very high rate the moment Connie entered the office and it never really lowered since. The score did a very great job in pushing the tension to the edge.Much like to PUSHER I, as a viewer you know there’s no way this chain of contradictory events is going to end well, except that Connie is more charismatic than Frank while fucking up more and more with each irrational action.

    But that's not…

Ooooouf. Most of the time I felt this tension because I was expecting that something will happen to one of them since there’s literally no movies about somewhat functional loving daughter-father-relations I’ve seen.
But still I was a bit bored thought about leaving the cinema. then it hit me during the last ten minutes. Probably because I am not good at farewells and because I did not want to let the sad dad go.

Smh I cringed throughout the whole movie.

Maybe bc I did not think it was as witty as expected in terms of “social criticism”. Most of the time it just crushed any ambivalence with the urge for mediocre comedic relief.
BUT I thought the captain that was a good representation of paroles like “Eat the rich” and “prols rise up“ chanted halfheartedly by depressed lefties that can’t escape their middleclass misery and fail to admit that they’ve actually given up long ago.
