Bong Joon Ho always delivers on making a cool looking movie. Theres a lot of humor in the shots and amazing framing. The whole introduction was well crafted as giving us a first person experience in Mickey's story. I think the film did a great job of being kind of a scifi political drama where it raises some pretty interesting ethics questions and ideas on space travel, cloning, and just future authoritarianism.
Still the film just misses a few marks…
I enjoyed watching this film, a lot of interesting stuff going on I wish I had a bigger brain to understand. The cinematography is very cool I really liked how the characters were often framed in mirrors/doorways and stuff. The film is also very colorful so visually it was never dull.
The main issue I had was trying to get an understanding of anything happening in this movie. I think the film's main theme was about SA and the trauma…
Definitely has the most problematic jokes of the trilogy, for some reason Chris Tucker went from a of the era edgy to Fox News levels of insane. The switch from film to digital lost a lot of the visual sauce jackie chan movies had during his peak. The whole time it looked like a michael bay movie riddled with shakey cuts in the action.
