  There’s just too much to say..

  I’m entranced. I praise Eggers for his care of the vampire mythology, most notably the interconnections with the beast and that of the  weaponization of shame against women in regards to sexuality. Ellen was always the heart of the story (and my favorite part of the original), I’m glad it was treated so.

  Like Ellen, I fear Nosferatu’s shadow is the inescapable force that I will inevitably fall back into.

  It’s the twisted nature…

  I’m not sure who was more stressed:

  - Me fighting my cat away from playing with the animals on screen.
  - Emma being scared bad things will happen to the animals.

  Very lovely movie. My cat watched the entire film, Emma cried three times.
