Godzilla Minus One 2023
A movie about Japan's soldiers returning home after defeat in WW2 and struggling mightly with survivors guilt and a feeling of shame in defeat. In my view, Godzilla represents this guilt and shame and the destruction it caused on Japan's feeble society that was trying desperately to rebuild in the aftermath.

It was excellent with some truly tense and terrible-to-behold scenes. It achieves it's purpose and I recommend a watch.
It drops into a story that is near its conclusion. We intentionally don't get a lot of back story, just the ramifications of whatever lead to the tragic circumstances.
