my favorite movie. i personally do believe the act of being a man is brutal and hellish and this movie not only evokes that completely but also illustrates beautifully the impact of hellish men on women. it’s even evident in the fact that the main characters horrid actions toward every woman in his life is reduced just to a couple of scenes. it would be interesting to see a film centered around these women’s perspectives but too much time has passed. i can only dream 😢

i thoroughly enjoyed this film genuinely bc of the nearly fear-inducing tension i felt throughout the entire viewing experience. julianne moore is absolutely impeccable and so flawlessly portrays such a deeply troubled woman which is something i feel i haven’t seen recently. makes me genuinely glad that the marvel era is over. charles melton was DEFINITELY a standout performance literally nothing more has to be said
