  There's a stroke of genius in Yang's ability to weave the most mundane with the most intense moments of the lives of ordinary people to make a compelling film. His realism is subtle but intense. The ups and downs are as real as it gets.

  The movie gets style points for pure audacity. The visuals are so striking and it has a legit nightmarish quality I've never seen in a film before. Lynch has your emotions on a string, and he seems to know it. I didn't like the lack of a coherent plot or any meaningful dialogue. But the movie is such a unique and bold venture that I have to give it at least a little credit for being so risky.

  This is a great action film that reminded me of a lot of my favorite John Woo movies. It has a heart and a plot that makes enough sense but isn't too convoluted in a way that forgets the main selling point of the movie: the great action scenes. The action scenes in this movie are 10/10. This movie makes me wonder why Won Bin stopped acting and why America can't make a gritty action movie this good anymore.
