  Really enjoyed this more than I expected to. I’m definitely an enjoyer of cheesy classic horror but I feel like Hellraiser actually balanced the cheesiness with real quality horror moments. I adore the practical effects that are really high quality at times but also carry the charm of older films. Even the poor digital effects made me chuckle in a good way.
  I appreciate the simplicity of the film and I imagine that it allowed them to focus more on the effects and overall design which paid off in my opinion.
  Overall probably my favorite of all the classic/old school horror movies I’ve seen.

  Interesting premise brought down by cringey dialogue and bland delivery. Millie Bobby Brown was pretty good, but everyone else was lacking. Decent movie but not one i’d ever need to watch again.

  I’ve seen this movie three times now but I think I finally fully get it. I always thought it was just a cute little movie meant to make you go “awe,” but this is the first time i’ve watched the movie as an adult.
