Some notes:
Hmm what will it take for a ‘great director’ to be time and time again overlooked by his treatment of women as characters. Excused as an accurate historic depiction of reality or not, it’s gross.
Also the lack of depth to the love story between the leads made it hard for me to feel that Scorsese knows how to write real love, a massive flaw to the film.
“Evil surrounds my heart”, me when around straight white males.
I just wonder how stiff DiCaprio and Deniro were during playing their roles - guess the casting was accurate. But gross.
