Watching this movie genuinely felt as though I had to sit thru a video of Francis Ford Coppola stroking his own d*ck for 2 hours and 18 minutes…. to me it really fell along the lines of the ‘cis white man takes psychedelics for the first time and discovers empathy’ trope. the fact that Coppola literally named the mayor after himself was laughable, and set the scene for the ego stoking tone of the film.
