This is one of those movies where I rated it higher than what my gauge of enjoyment of it was. Even though I don’t enjoy musicals a lot, I could notice and appreciate that this movie was really well made and deserved a high rating, and I enjoyed it as much as I possibly could with a musical. Kudos to the director and songwriters.

I like quick cuts. I think they are usually put to good use in action sequences, and to convey a certain style in a film. But when there are five to six cuts to different angles and such in an 8 second dialogue scene, that is when they tick me off. A DIALOGUE SCENE.
