  Crab Rave: The Movie is my favorite film of the year. The vocal performances are great, though some have pointed out that Michael Cera’s singing voice isn’t that good. The animation is beautiful, and the musical numbers go hard, especially the main theme “Welcome to New Jersey”. It sucks how badly Paramount treated this thing.

  Harold and the Purple Crayon 2024

  Did not expect this at all, but “Harold” is officially one of my favorite movies. Zachary Levi and Carlos Saldanha’s family film pays tribute to Crockett Johnson’s original book by drawing a story with heartwarming moments, kick-ass comedy, an over-the-top villain (hilariously portrayed by Jemaine Clement), and decent VFX. In your face, critics!
