Quite fun to watch if you’ve read the book because there are so many subtle and lore-accurate references. None of the Orisons to Sonmi section characters were played by asian actors though and just had their eyes pulled back?? That lowkey made the Hae-Joo / Sonmi relationship feel so saviour-coded

Oppenheimer 2023
beautiful cinematography, disconcerting glorification of the nuclear bomb and its effects. perhaps that is the point, to show Oppenheimer’s and America’s perspective, but some audiences clearly missed the gravitas (we heard giggling in the theatre). do filmmakers have a responsibility to educate?
