just like films innit
I give so many films five stars cos i only watch good stuff.
some of my old reviews are so cringe holy shit
“When Someone’s wearing a mask… you know he’s gonna give you the truth. When somebody’s not wearing a mask, it’s highly unlikely” - Bob Dylan
I’m gonna give everything Bob Dylan five stars, but this is geniunely one of he most ballsy, inspiring, creative, genius tours of all time. Assembling genius musicians to dress up, let loose and unleash the most extreme versions of themselves in a (literally cheers Allen Ginsberg) poetic exploration of life, politics and art, is pure Dylan. He is a mystery and will remain so even after his passing, Bob Dylan, the legend.
ps. Stay for the encore x
“Don’t let me downnn….”
The beatlesss man. This is just raw genius on film, their music is obviously spectacular (dih) but the lads actually enjoying themselves one last time in the final live appearance of the greatest band of all time. The young policemen bless them, seem so inept and clearly have no idea what to do about the beatles blasting a live performance onto the streets of London. Just utter spectacle, so good.
70mm IMAX Manchester Printworks
This was one of the greatest, most worthwhile cinematic experiences i have ever had and ever will have the privilege of viewing. Christopher Nolan is a true film director, he loves cinema and it shows in this film. Never boring, always inspiring, beautiful and expertly challenging. Every actor recognisable with multiple standouts including RDJ’s most incredible performance of his career, along with Murphy, Hartnett and everyone involved in this picture. An truly amazing thing to witness, i urge you get down to a cinema and see this, preferably in IMAX.
fuck man. I did not expect this to be as amazing as it was, heart shattering, destroying, incredibly uplifting and joyous at times.
RIP Alan Arkin
