    I can't believe I never reviewed this!!!
    In my opinion, this is the best adaptation of the book. The Phantom of the Opera is one of my favorite books, if not my absolute favorite.
    Ramin did an astonishing job portraying Erik/the Phantom. There was so much emotion in his singingβ€”I could feel it deep in my bones. Such charisma melted with torn tenderness. And Sierra...! She is Christine! What a moving performance.

    I have always found Caravaggio's work to convey a tone of subtle, intimate ferocity. Like the scene happening is awfully quiet, and there is nothing you can do to stop it. I did not enjoy the movie at its proper value, but the tense atmosphere and the whimsical sensuality gave me similar feelings to his paintings. This is the kind of film that you feel. Not watch.
    That bloody kiss though. Feverish.
