I absolutely loved this movie. I thought it had a unique story and easy to follow plot line. I feel like this movie would be better understood in 2021 or 2022 when it was supposed to come out, but I’m glad it waited for my frontal lobe to grow bigger and my attention span to grow longer. a fantastic movie that gives me hope for the future of cinema. As a woman, I found the character of Igor, the bodyguard, especially compelling. He seemed to represent the idea that not all men are bad, standing in stark contrast to the toxic behaviors Anora encountered throughout the story. She experienced men at their absolute worst, yet Igor’s presence showed her—and the audience—that goodness and integrity still exist. The moment she offered him what she assumed he wanted, only to realize he expected nothing in return, was profoundly wholesome and beautifully handled.

Nosferatu 2024
feels a bit overrated to me. While the performances were undeniably strong and everyone delivered their roles brilliantly, the story itself felt stretched. This narrative could have been told just as effectively in an hour and a half, rather than dragging on for two hours and twenty minutes.
