  20 minutes in I was really worried this was going to be some heavy star studded copaganda but I was pleasantly surprised. The visuals are striking, plot is intriguing the whole way through without glorifying the crazy shit everyone is doing. Emily Blunt does a great job and as a woman you empathize with her being toyed around for these men to get their ‘heroic’ operations underway.

  Watched for class and had never watched a Charlie Chaplin movie before. I thought that the messaging and comedy were both great, but the music was my favorite part. I had no idea that Chaplin composed music, or that he composed the love theme for this movie which Nat King Cole turned into the song Smile. A pretty heartbreaking portrayal of two people just trying to enjoy their lives together in a brutal and unforgiving world.
