mikey madison was FANTASTIC in this and she definitely deserved her oscar. ani and her juul can conquer anything. i really enjoyed how the dialogue from every character felt so natural and not like they were just reading from a script.
i’m also stuck thinking about the shot of ani looking out of the mansion into the snow, I feel like it can be interpreted so many ways and just shows the harsh reality catching up to her. I love the way this movie was shot. sean baker viola fr

ppl love to hate a fun silly movie! sure the humor is immature, but that’s because it’s supposed to be MIDDLE SCHOOLERS making the jokes. everything was very on par with what it was like to be 11 years old, and reliving that was actually kinda comforting as much as it was comical. watching with jen is always a plus <3!!!! many giggles. THEY ALSO PERFECTLY SET THIS UP FOR GOOD BOYS 2 WHICH COULD TAKE PLACE IN HIGH SCHOOL PLZ GET ON THIS and bring these silly lads and molly gordon back on my screen rn

HOLY SHIT I FEEL LIKE THIS WAS MADE FOR ME?

this was genuinely fantastic oh my god. this shit was a meditation. the way you can understand each of the animals individual personalities so simply and and also feel their raw emotions throughout the whole movie SO easily without any silly voiceover dialogue takes it a step up from what could have simply been a feel good kids movie to an actual emotional journey suitable for all ages and tastes…
