  this movie is just the most insane string of coincidences imaginable as the writers attempt to fumble their way into something resembling a plot, all while michael sheen is there to look pretty and be gay like his life depends on it

  the first episode gets a bit more "serious" in the latter half (local DI's main priority is not the murder case, but fucking that guy's wife) before grabbing you by the lapels in the last five minutes and saying "oh do you think we forgot this is a musical? did you think we weren't going to make david tennant sing and do a little dance? well strap on your fucking boots motherfucker"
