Messages about PTSD, Survivor's guilt, the horrors of war and the human spirit triumphing over darkness are not what I expected from Godzilla movie yet here we are. It's really a touching movie and I urge anyone who feels hopeless to watch this film. While I wasn't a big fan of the ending, Minus One overall was an amazing movie with a great message of living on no matter what and to keep on fighting. And even though I can appreciate goofy Godzilla doing dumb Kaiju stuff, I feel he's best in a serious setting. Also Godzilla himself was an actual horror villain this movie.
Is it weird that this is a comfort movie for me?
Stallone gives an amazing performance as the titular character. The action is great and I love how the movie highlighted the mistreatment of Vietnam veterans when returning. The soundtrack makes this seemingly regular setting of small town America into a grand adventure and I can't explain why.
While I do like the action movie hero Rambo, none of the later films will beat this one.
One of the coolest movies I've seen. The dialogue is slick and the characters are fun to watch. Daniel Craig has a certain coolness to him and Michael Gambon gives a badass performance. It's no wonder this is often cited as the movie that got Craig the role of Bond.
Craig's first outing as Bond is one of the best spy movies of all time. From the action, the dialogue and the story, almost everything about this movie is perfect.
