HOLY SHIT MY HEART WAS ON THE EDGE OF ITS SEAT WATCHING HIS ASS RUN AROUND- damn.
The sound design and editing had my anxiety on the loose! How to keep an audience engaged 101.

Politically interesting and maybe even confusing movie. At the end of the day it felt like a progressive liberal movie about LA crime in the 70s. I didn’t really enjoy their portrayal of the gang in the movie felt oddly propagandized but I enjoyed that aspect of it when it portrayed white cops. Also the score is so fucking good but nothing new from carpenter.
Mentions how media literacy is dead… bro this movie is now part of the reason why media literacy will remain dead.
I don’t want to sit down and watch over an hour of exposition. I find this movie having the same flaw that most contemporary movies have: they are afraid.
afraid of being misunderstood (so it over explains itself to the audience)
& afraid of not being engaging enough (desperately resorting to comedic timing because being sincere is considered boring) welcome to another era of anti-intellectualism 🤩🥳
would rewatch megalopolis over this.
THANK YOU lukie pookie for the birthday gift 🤯
Me and V shared a (double dosed?) tab of acid and watched the Blu-Ray after we left your apartment. (It just finished- I’m having a great time)
