I know I said the original was over-the-top and ridiculous, but this is something beyond. It ranks right up there with Kill Bill: Vol. 1 as one of the most exhilarating action movies I’ve watched. Sure, that film may be better because it’s more structured, but it’s in this film’s favor that it’s so peripatetic. Imagine downing a can of Monster Energy, then eating a fistful of sugar and punching yourself in the head. That’s what this sequel’s experience is like, and it’s electrifying. Pun intended.

Paddington in Peru 2024
It's not quite as good as the first two films, but it's pretty safe to say that if you liked the first two, you'll enjoy the third. I had a good time with it, which is all I wanted.

Miss March 2009
Be advised: this five star rating is of the very specialized variety. By any traditional definition this is not a good movie. It’s crude, infantile, preposterous, and it’s irredeemably sleazy. It’s high in cinematic cholesterol and low in moral fiber. In fact, it has no moral weightiness at all. If anything, it has amoral flippancy. It’s even downright misogynistic. If it were a person, it’d get drunk and hit on an epileptic girl. And then pass out on the stairs…

Kill Bill: Vol. 2 2004
Vol. 2 has a lot more dialogue than Vol. 1 and uses over-the-top action sparingly, but I get that the story is an integral part of the experience to keep it fresh and interesting.
