My biggest issue with this film is that it doesn’t fully explore deeper themes or consequences from the diverse situations Gump goes through; the film just cycles through them way too fast. I suppose the only example I can find is in Lieutenant Dan, who finds inspiration and character growth from the example of Gump, to make a satisfying ending.
