Whiplash 2014
One of the most amazing movies I've seen. No part of the story feels dull, and every part feels intentional and important to the plot. The low-budget makes it impressive too, while also leaving a simple yet sophisticated vibe. The editing is amazing too, and the yellow hue attached throughout the movie gives it a warm vibe that at times can also serve as tension. The ending isn't very predictable but it feels very well-rounded and it couldn't have ended off any better way. 11/10, would recommend to anybody, especially avid jazz listeners/lovers like myself.
