  I'm torn on this one.

  In the moments it borrows from other films (Zodiac, Se7en, Silence of the Lambs, Cure, etc) it is excellent. It isn't a pale comparison. It stands up in its horror. The scene in Harkers house in the first third of the movie is phenomenal. It looks great, it's consistent symbolism is fun, if a bit obvious, and the soundtrack does lift it up a notch.

  But when it tone shifts to blumhouse horror it loses…
