  This has been my favorite movie for a while now, for a lot of reasons. I watched it last night in theatres for probably the 25th+ time and it gets more brilliant and fresher each time I watch. 

  One thing I especially noticed is the use of stark scene contrast… Chazelle goes from an intense scene with Fletcher and Neiman, to him sitting in the pizza parlor with the girl. It’s simple but brilliant.
