NORTH AND SOUTH is a television mini-series that aired on ABC in three installments in 1985, 1986, and 1994. Six of a Kind 1934
Charles Ruggles and Mary Boland play a husband and wife, who have planned their second honeymoon in Los Angeles. In order to save on money, they take with them a second couple, George Burns and Gracie Allen. They also unknowingly have a suitcase with $50,000 stolen from a bank.
W.C. Fields appears as a sheriff. The film includes the famous pool table gag. It's hilarious. Fields performs some great comic business with a pool cue all the while telling a story about a guy with a glass eye.
I thought Ruggles and Boland were funnier than Burns and Allen.

Brown of Harvard 1926
Oh Tom Brown (William Haines), you are such a POS. Why should I root for him to get the girl?
Jack Pickford plays Jim Doolittle, a subtext gay character, who loves Tom. In one scene, Haines repeatedly rubs Pickford's bare chest.
Bit of an unexpected bummer toward the end.Translated from by -
Holiday Affair 1949
There's a reason this isn't a holiday classic. It's not a story about Christmas magic, or good will towards men; it's a story about a holiday affair. And it's boring and unfunny when it tries to be funny.
