There's a lot to like about this, the overall presentation and actors' chemistry is noteworthy, and it's catapulted by a strong central performance.
Unfortunately, it's also self indulgent and takes the high school experience a little too seriously, and for the portion in the middle without Olivia Cooke, I was bored out of my mind.
Overall a solid watch with cool filmmaking and tons of heart, just don't expect it to be a coming of age classic.
