  Susannah York is excellent as the schizophrenic writer (she also wrote the actual children’s book within this movie giving her a screenwriting credit) 

  
  The photography is just so unusual. Making great use of the unbelievable locations (I have to visit that waterfall one day) John Williams foreboding score mixed with Stormu Yamashta’s wind chimes was genius and THAT ending was perfect.

  Adore this movie. The US cut isn’t necessary tho. Still a masterpiece.
