Yeah, it's pretty good. Animation style is real nice.
Thoughts:
- I think the themes aren't quite for me, but the idea of them still works pretty well ) though ending feels abrupt, but that's sorta the point, I guess?)
- Music is really good
- Lots of nice sequences flexing animation quality (ex. skipping scene)
- Nice small other Fujimoto references
- Only some spots where 3D CGI feels out of place

It's kinda dumb, but you get a lot of semi-decently CGI'd disaster scenes
Thoughts:
- The scientific explanations are pretty non-specific / vaguely plausible, which is good
- There's a lot of minor things that are stupid, but the movie is purely a vehicle to deliver disaster scenes, and those mostly-small issues don't really get in the way -- good

Eh, it's kinda dumb, but lava.
Thoughts:
- Before the lava arrives, bureaucracy is the true antagonist
- Cars are passing by way too calmly during the initial lava/eruption
- "Lava Bomb" + scientist advice to firefights -- weird and never comes up again
- The plan to trap and cool the lava with water is totally absurd
- Lava effects didn't age well
