I have a massive headache from watching this and feel somehow more confused than watching Mulholland Dr, but mainly it's just quite sad to see. This might be one to rewatch at a later date and re-evaluate...

Black Narcissus 1947
It was an enjoyable film, mainly for the tiny ponies and Mr Dean's tiny shorts. However I feel the synopsis of the film made it seem that it would be more strange or surreal. It ended up just being an enjoyable drama film from the 40s. It does shine an interesting light on British colonialism and how it wasn't always well-received and how the missionaries had their own struggles to combat as nuns.
