Beautiful Boy 2018
Some of the people leaving reviews have no comprehension skills/appreciation for movies that aren’t just car crashes and explosions/have never had anyone close to them experience addiction/are just stupid and obnoxious because this movie was so heartbreakingly beautiful. just absolutely devastating from every single character’s perspective especially the younger siblings trying to understand why they can’t see their brother. I didn’t finish it and only got to the bit where he meets up with all those kids and the older ones are bullying him and I just didn’t really understand and felt very uncomfortable and triggered by it. I suppose it’s probably meant to be disturbing and uncomfortable but honestly I just didn’t understand the point of that scene and I didn’t feel drawn in by the story. Maybe I’ll try to finish it but from reading some other reviews it seems like it only gets worse regarding the unnecessary sexual abuse scenes so I probably won’t

Definitely my top 3 favorite movies of all time. Portrayed the experience of being a woman so beautifully and realistically and it was just so raw. I’ve never felt so seen before and I know that’s silly because it’s a movie about a doll but!!! I have never seen myself and my feelings and my experiences highlighted in such a beautiful raw way and I truly encourage every man to see this movie and most importantly every woman !!! I felt so seen and empowered after and I truly thank Greta gerwig so much for this masterpiece
