Based on the essay-turned-novel by the essayist/novelist Kodama, director Yuki Tanada (Romance Doll and Moon and Cherry) cements herself as one of my favorite directors. It's important to note that the original title is My Husband's Penis Won't Fit, but because the West is prude, euphemism beats out any kind of clarity when it comes to serious topics, especially ones dealing with sex (education).

If you're rating this for the music only, then that's seriously disrespectful to Taylor Swift as a fledgling director. The lack of serious reviews are also rather disrespectful and quite troubling. But one huge problem is that "All Too Well: The Short Film" is not really a short film, just an…

Stop-motion animation will never not look awesome, especially when it's supplemented by visual effects when it's impossible to do so in stop-motion—visual effects that only enhance the visual quality without overpowering the craft. All of this was done by one person, with minimal help from others for music and visual effects. Takahide Hori does the voices for 18 characters, with Atsuko Miyake and Yuji Sugiyama doing voices for 3 characters and 1, respectively. Directing, screenplay, storyboards, editing , cinematography, lighting,…
