Having watched Foxcatcher I know that Steve Carrell can venture out from his sign future comedic roles, and in this he portrayed a father desperately trying to save his son from addiction. It was extremely moving and brought a tear to my eye. I wish there was a bit more back story on the boy, but I know it’s based on a true story so not everything can be told. I do recommend.

All that I had heard from this film previously to watching was that it is a Boston Classic. Directed my Ben Affleck who I loved in films such as “Good Will Hunting” and “Gone Girl”. I had about this film when it first came out and had never got round to it. But with me learning to skate myself and it being on Netflix it was the perfect time. The soundtrack was just full of bangers and the cinematography looked as it was shot on a 90s camera so it had lots of grain to it. Which I loved and helped me as the viewer immerse into the atmosphere of the film.
