As a reported 5-8 inch storm fell down upon Boston, I cozied up to The Thing (2011) after telling my real life girlfriend that I *just* watched The Thing (1982) two years ago.
The predicted snowstorm ended up being a little under 2-inches. While I'm not going to be upset about not having to shovel my car out of 8-inches, I still was expecting more, even though everyone in Boston told me that these type of things usually miss.
Sums up how I feel about this film.
I really don't know why I thought a movie about a guy riding a lawn mower wouldn't be boring.
The creative geniuses behind Meet The Spartans were way ahead of their time. Watching Deadpool + Wolverine feels like revisiting that cinematic masterpiece, but this time in our Lords year 2024, Marvel hit critical and financial success but without the art house aesthetics or emotional resonance. As the Joker said, "We live in a society."
