  “Insecure people are very dangerous aren’t they.” Safe meets Black Swan. A movie about making a movie about the story of a female sex criminal that was previously made into a cheap tv movie. Gay David Cronenberg.

  Karma came for Polanski… only redeemable things: 1 the curation of botched 20th century plastic surgery; 2 the chaotic fun Russian bimbos. Magnificent intercut of fireworks and recalled 70s facelifts. More palatable at 1.25x speed. 

  
  Lasting thought: the 3rd path of aging seems the most fun - not letting yourself go, not trying (failing) to be young forever but (surgically) becoming a timeless grotesque caricature of your former self. Unfortunately here Polanski applied this method to his ouvre and not his face.
