Novocaine 2025
Super fun action comedy. Wont impress you with any story decisions, but it manages to form its own identity. None of the tropes feel played out or boring because the movie constantly keeps you engaged and connected to the main character (I’m biased though because I love Jack Quaid).

While I enjoyed it throughly, I have some big issues with it. The performances carry the film to being very enjoyable. However, the extremely heavy handed satire of the current state of American politics, while funny, feels unnecessary. The interesting ideas of duplicate Mickeys and what it means to be a person feels unused. Characters that seem to be set up to be important entirely disappear until the very end, which left me stretching my head. Despite all of this it did like it though.

Wtf even was this. An absolute cavalcade of incredibly talented people wasted for 2 hours of straight nonsense. But hey, we did get the amazing line, “go back to the cluuuub” so overall I guess it was worth it.
