  Probably the perfect kids movie. Timeless soundtrack. Great animation for the time. Hilarious while carrying an important message: the value of a person is independent of their vanity.

  Incredible performances from miles teller and JK Simmons and a plot line unlike anything I’ve seen before. It’s just so compelling, a story about a drummer going through music school. An example of a simple concept done perfectly. Love the relationship between Andrew and his teacher. Which one of them is the bad guy? His desire to impress and his passion for something so simple is inspiring. Brilliant ending to a brilliant movie.
