I think this movie sorta epitomizes why i love science fiction. A conceptually bold and thought provoking first contact story that implores you to not only reflect on what we can and can't know about the universe, but also to look inward and reflect upon yourself. I do think it's ambitions kinda exceed its grasp, but man. Is it so fucking cool.

I think the interchange of the lines "It's not possible!" "No, its necessary." would annoy me in any other movie, but Interstellar is not like any other movie. I'll never forget seeing this absolute spectacle in 70mm.

No Country for Old Men 2007
A film with so much violence and raw tension is also one of the most quiet movies ever made. Not only is there barely any music, or that silence is deliberately used to build said tension, but many scenes are understated conversations between characters. There's an eerie tranquility to much of the movie, even if what's being shown is pretty disturbing.
