Midsommar 2019
On its own a 4 but I struggle a bit because of how close it sometimes remains to Hereditary, beautiful movie with influence from Bergman and Anderson. The film just starts too emotional and its catalyst is very lame especially because of Aster's previous work. The film kind of builds very funky again starting very emotional, too emotional to be a proper build up. I think Hereditary is better because it requires less of a suspension of disbelief (who is an Anthropology major?). Kind of funny but horrifying as well.
